The Union Club was established in 1869 as a club for local gentlemen and is the oldest club in Southport. Although it was originally called The New Club its name was changed to The Union Club in 1880.
Its impressive yet unobtrusive premises are at 2 Bath Street, Southport and members come from all walks of life.
Members can enjoy the club's excellent dining facilities, provided by a highly regarded steward, as well as relaxing in the comfortable lounge and enjoying drinks in the well-stocked bar.
There is also a large dining room which is used for formal functions and by dining groups of up to 30 members and guests.
There are two high quality snooker tables which have been in the club for over 150 years and bridge is played regularly by some members. The club holds an annual golf competition, usually played at The Royal Birkdale Golf Club courtesy of members there who are also members of The Union Club.
Local businessmen are welcome to use the club for meetings with their friends and business associates and a bespoke meeting room is available for private use if required.
If you are a local businessman, new to the area or a retired gentlemen wishing to have the opportunity of meeting new friends and would like to know more, enquire about membership or wish to visit the club please contact us at
